MycoMorphBox properties[modifiché la sorgiss]

MycoMorphBoxes depict 7 mycological characteristics that are often useful in identify mushrooms. The template is given as a quick way to display information about mushrooms, and to enable quick comparison between them. As always, use discretion when consuming wild mushrooms. Read mushroom hunting and mushroom poisoning, and rely on the advice of an expert if you are new.

If you would like to add or edit MycoMorphBoxes, here are some guidelines that may help:

MycoMorphBoxes require 8 parameters when they are written:

  1. name = the name of the mushroom being annotated
  2. hymeniumType = the type of spore-bearing surface: gills, pores, etc. For now, this must be chosen from: =gills, =pores, =smooth, =ridges, =teeth
  3. capShape = a descriptor of the general shape of the cap. For now, this must be chosen from: Figura:Campanulate cap icon.png=campanulate, Figura:Conical cap icon.png=conical, Figura:Convex cap icon.png=convex, Figura:Depressed cap icon.png=depressed, Figura:Flat cap icon.png=flat, =infundibuliform, Figura:Ovate cap icon.png=ovate, Figura:Umbillicate cap icon.png=umbillicate, Figura:Umbonate cap icon.png=umbonate, =no, Figura:NA cap icon.png=NA
  4. whichGills = a descriptor of how the hymenium attaches to the stem. For now, this must be chosen from: =adnate, =adnexed, =decurrent, =emarginate, =free, =seceding, =sinuate, =subdecurrent, =no, Figura:NA cap icon.png=NA
  5. stipeCharacter = indicates if a universal or partial veil is present. For now, this must be chosen from: =bare, =ring, =volva, =ring and volva, =cortina, Figura:NA cap icon.png=NA
  6. sporePrintColor = the color of the spore print. For now, this must be chosen from: black, white, olive, brown, yellow, pink, tan, salmon
  7. ecologicalType = indicates how the mushroom obtains nutrients. For now, this must be chosen from: mycorrhizal, parasitic, saprotrophic
  8. howEdible = indicates whether the mushroom is edible or poisonous. For now, this must be chosen from: choice, edible, inedible, poisonous, deadly

As written the template requires an entry for all of the parameters. They can be specified in any order, but should be typed exactly as above, but excluding the = character.
